National Black Female Photographers Day Walk, Greensboro NC

Saturday, September 10th 2016,  yesterday was the Fifth Annual Black Female Photographers Walk. Greensboro, NC had it's first walk this year hosted by photographer Toni Shaw. This year would also be my first Black Female Photographers (BFP) walk.  The BFP event is geared towards bringing professional, amateur, and advanced photographers together to document their city, network, collaborate together, and to learn from one another. Our Captain Toni Shaw invited a good amount of models, that traveled a good distance to pose for us throughout the walk. Along the way I captured a few details of downtown Greensboro. The National Folk Festival is in town throughout today. We had a nice day to shoot, heat and humidity pushed aside.  Updates will be added throughout the week, so please check back.

Documenting The South

North Caroina is such a beautiful state in terms of scenery and God's country.  Most of my childhood was spent in North Carolina so there's a lot of history here for me.  My goal is to photograph and document several cities and counties within the state focusing on black people and culture. It should be fun.
